, this proof-of-concept uses OpenAI’s GPT-3 to control a Minecraft Non Player Character (NPC). The goal is to create code with GPT-3 and then execute it in the game. In order to do that, we need some tools: Codex – an open source platform for creating AI applications using machine learning models like GPT-3. It takes care of setting up the environment, training your model and running your application. Minecraft – An open world sandbox video game where players can build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D procedurally generated world. OpenAI – A research laboratory focused on developing artificial general intelligence through deep learning algorithms like GPT-3. Once these tools have been acquired and set up correctly, we can start experimenting! We’ll use Codex to create our bot code with GPT-3, train it and deploy it onto the Minecraft server so our bot can run autonomously inside the game. Finally we’ll be able to watch our NPC wander around while performing its tasks as designed by us!
