Lexion’s software is designed to make legal contracts easier for lawyers to understand. Today, the company has rolled out new features for its Microsoft Word plug-in that are powered by GPT-3 artificial intelligence. Using Lexion, lawyers can get assistance with drafting language related to a particular clause in a contract. All they have to do is ask and Lexion will produce an immediate draft of the text. The goal isn’t just automation but also improved efficiency, according to CEO Gaurav Oberoi: “It’s assistive,” he said, “think of it as having a junior attorney helping you out.” In addition, GPT-3 can be used with Lexion to suggest edits or quickly summarize clauses in contracts.
