Curai is a health tech company that uses AI and machine learning to help doctors work more quickly and effectively. To do this, they utilize GPT-3, an algorithm created by their research team, Medically Aware GPT-3 as a Data Generator for Medical Dialogue Summarization. This algorithm creates synthetic training data with an emphasis on medical information by scaling 210 human labeled examples to yield results comparable to using 6400 human labeled examples (~30x). Experiments have revealed the quality of the training data produced can be combined with real world data in order to generate summaries that are highly accurate and coherent compared to models trained only on human information alone.
