Shutterstock has announced a partnership with OpenAI, integrating the AI lab’s text-to-image model DALL-E 2 into Shutterstock in the upcoming months. In addition, Shutterstock is launching a Contributor Fund to reimburse creators when the company sells their work to train text-to-image AI models. This is in response to concerns from artists whose output has been illegally taken without consent and used for these systems. Furthermore, Shutterstock is banning any AI generated art that was not made using its DALL-E integration on its site.
